Special licence pathway

What does the licence cover?

An heirlooms licence can cover a single inherited firearm or a matched pair or set. Evidence of inheritance is required.

Can the heirloom remain usable?

Firearms held under an heirlooms licence must be permanently incapable of firing in the prescribed manner. Ask Firearms Services about the correct pathway before taking possession of an inherited firearm.

How do you apply?

Provide the inheritance information and obtain the current instructions from Firearms Services. A licensed dealer can advise on the required permanent disabling and documentation.
