Genuine reason for possession or use · Purpose 3

What does this purpose cover?

This covers suppressing vertebrate pest animals on the relevant land and ending animals’ pain and suffering in connection with primary production.

Who can apply?

People regularly engaged in primary production on land they own, manage or lease, and qualifying employees. Owning rural land alone does not demonstrate the business requirement.

What evidence is needed?

Provide business, property and intended-use information. Supporting material may include a statutory declaration, business records and employment evidence. The relevant categories are A, B and, where justified, C.

Applying and ongoing conditions

Use the current primary-production forms. For Category C, explain why A/B or other means cannot meet the need. Keep the authority tied to the approved work and check what is required when your employment or business circumstances change.
